Within this tab are samples of the design work I completed during the Design for Journalists class I attended while spending a semester at Temple University.
In the Design for Journalists class at Temple University one of the assignments was to create a magazine cover and a two-page magazine spread. Using Adobe In-Design I decided to create a desserts themed magazine called Sweet Treats. The font is called “Chocolate box” which is easy to read, but also fits the theme of the magazine. The color scheme of pink, white, and brown was chosen because when I think of a bakery or dessert shop some of the most common colors I see are pink, white, and brown. I took the photos used and edited them within Adobe Photoshop.
The assignment was to create a logo for myself using Adobe Photoshop. I wanted to keep my logo to nice and simple. I wanted something that could be displayed on almost anything I decided to attach it to since I work in a variety of media settings. I chose orange and blue because orange is my favorite color and light blue because I liked the contrast.
My graphic resume was created as an assignment for the Design for Journalists class at Temple University. The assignment was to create a resume in Adobe In-Design that would showcase your skills, experiences, education, and personal logo. While I tried to make it look as professional as possible I chose to continue the color scheme of orange and blue throughout the resume and added the dotted-lines to separate out information.
